Hi! Welcome to The Young Professional! We are working professionals who recently graduated college and wanted to build a place for students and professionals to collaborate, exchange ideas, and help each other grow. The Young Professional strives to bring together younger generations and working professionals to pay it forward by helping younger students achieve their goals. We do this by providing college essay feedback and support for high school students, as well as resume and cover letter review for college students to set them up for success post-graduation.
About Neil
Hey! I'm Neil, a University of Chicago alum who spent 4 years working in the University of Chicago Admissions Office during my undergraduate career. My last year there, I worked as an Admissions Fellow to read UChicago applications and sit in on deliberation committee. In college, I majored in economics and psychology while taking classes at the Booth School of Business. Post-undergrad, I worked in strategy consulting at a large technology and services firm. After two years in consulting, I went back to the University of Chicago Booth School of Business to get my MBA, where I studied entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, and behavioral sciences. At Booth, I taught 1Y students about leadership effectiveness and development, and also interviewed prospective students as an Interview Fellow to provide insights for admission decisions. Post-Booth, I am working on a supply chain fintech startup, and continue to enjoy helping high schoolers aspire for higher education and support college students in planning their post-graduate careers. I’ve reviewed undergraduate and graduate school essays (including those for Law, Business, and Medicine), and can provide a nuanced perspective into the admissions process for undergraduate and business schools.

Hello, my name is Robert. I am a soon to be graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology. I am majoring in Management Information Systems and am planning to work within a data centered/data consulting position within any industry. I enjoyed playing soccer throughout my life and more recently have enjoyed skiing/snowboarding and volleyball.
